OUR VALUED STAFF

We have a veteran group of employees.  Tammy L. Breitfeller was recently promoted to Supervisor in the Fall of 2021 after being a member of the staff for 22 years.  We welcomed Tim Reigle to Trexler Funeral Home in April of this year.  Tim and Tammy are both full-time licensed funeral directors.  Tammy also oversees office administration, with the assistance of Dee Kindt and Kimberly Cressman.  A capable group of part-time funeral directors and associates completes our staff.  All comprise a team of courteous and thoughtful professionals.  We appreciate their efforts and their loyalty.

  • Carl F. Schmoyer Jr.

    Carl F. Schmoyer Jr. President

    Carl F. Schmoyer career began when he graduated from Gettysburg College in 1967, and thereafter the American Academy-McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City in 1968. He served his resident internship with Theodore and Arline Rabenold Trexler of Trexler Funeral Home, Allentown through 1970 and received his funeral license in 1971. He subsequently purchased the Trexler Funeral Home in Allentown when the Trexler's retired in 1978, as well as continuing to oversee operations at the Schmoyer Funeral Home in Breinigsville. Carl is a 32nd degree Mason, where he is a member of Lehigh Lodge #326, Trexlertown and a member of Valley of Allentown, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Consistory of Allentown. In addition, he is a member of Shriners of North America (Rajah Shrine). He was a President of the former Western Lehigh Lions Club. Carl is a member and has previously served on the council of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Breinigsville where the Schmoyer family has been members of that church since the 1700’s.

    Carl F. Schmoyer III Vice-President

    After receiving his Mortuary Science Degree from Northampton Community College in 1991, Carl joined his father as the fifth generation director of the Carl Schmoyer Funeral Home, and also now serves as Vice-President under his father at the Trexler Funeral Home, Inc. Carl is a 32nd degree Mason, where he is a 4th generation member of Lehigh Lodge #326, Trexlertown, and a member of Valley of Allentown, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Consistory. In addition, he is a member of Shriners of North America (Rajah Shrine). Carl served as treasurer of the Upper Macungie Township Fireman’s Relief Association for 30 years retiring in 2019. He is a life member of Good Will Fire Company No. 1 in Trexlertown where he orchestrated and chaired the centennial celebration of the department in 2016. Carl is a general class amateur radio operator and very active with the National Weather Service as a senior certified weather spotter in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, as well as Atlantic and Cape May Counties in New Jersey. He also orchestrated the village of Breinigsville Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular as a licensed BATF pyrotechnician beginning in 1984 and retiring in 2022. To further Carl's life's work, previous owner of the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Inc., Michael A. Weber, sold his business to Carl in December 2012 as his hand-picked successor.

    Tammy L. Breitfeller Supervisor

    Tammy L. (Nagle) Breitfeller had joined the staff of the Trexler Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown and Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville in 2000. She is a graduate of Parkland High School and Northampton Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. After serving her internship in the Bethlehem area, she received her funeral director license in 1996. Tammy was recently promoted to Supervisor in Fall of 2021. She remains an active member of the Eastern PA Funeral Directors Association and served as president in 2010. From 2015-2019, she served with the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association as District 6 Governor. Currently she serves with the National Funeral Directors Association and is a member of their Resource Advisory Group which recommends and reviews new programs, products and services for the betterment of the profession and families it serves. Since 2000, she holds a notary commission for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Along with her husband, she has two children.

  • Timothy Reigle

    Timothy Reigle Funeral Director

    Born and raised in Dixon, Illinois, Tim graduated from Dixon High School in 2005. He relocated to Allentown, Pennsylvania along with his family in 2010. After working in funeral service since his teenage years, he graduated with honors from Northampton Community College in Bethlehem in 2013 with a degree in Funeral Service Education. He was also named 2013 Funeral Service Education Student of the Year. He became a licensed funeral director in 2014. Tim is also a licensed Chaplain and Celebrant, enabling him to further assist families by officiating at funerals and memorial services. Tim resides in Center Valley with his wife and two daughters. He serves as Worship Director of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church in Coopersburg where he leads the Worship Team every Sunday. Tim is a member and Past Worshipful Master of Saucon Lodge No. 469, F. & A.M. in Coopersburg. In his spare time, Tim enjoys playing guitar and several other instruments, reading as many books as possible, and rooting hard for his beloved Chicago sports teams.
