Ruth M. Zettlemoyer, 79, of Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the loving wife of Donald P. Zettlemoyer, with whom she shared nearly 53 years of marriage. Born in College Park, MD, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Hannah M. (Furst) Crebs. A born again Christian and woman who believed in Jesus Christ, she was a member of Central Assembly of God Church where she was a pianist, youth leader, Royal Ranger Buckaroo Commander, choir and orchestra director, Sunday School teacher and a member of the women’s ministry. As a member of Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, she was in the choir. She was also a dedicated member of Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church, Bethlehem. In her earlier years, “Mrs. Z” worked for First National Bank, but mostly for the last 32 years she was a seamstress and “Grandmom” for Liberty Band since 1990. She was excited for the spring concerts coming up. Along with her seamstress skills, she would do alterations for weddings, proms and anyone who was in need. She would witness to the kids whenever she had the chance. She was the love of Don’s life. They enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel together. She loved baking and would share with the neighbors, police departments, mail carriers, trash collectors and school. She even held taco parties for friends and family. When out shopping, she was excited when she found a good sale. She loved planting and gardening, which included many vegetables and fruits that she could use for her baked goods. She had such a zest for life, decorating for different seasons and holidays. She enjoyed trips to the shore and Ocean City Coffee. She was a longtime fan of the IronPigs. She loved breakfast with friends and family, being with people and “running” into people while out. She left an impression with everyone she met and even remembered everyone’s name. People called her the “Energizer Bunny”. She will be remembered for leaving behind a dynamic legacy.
