Naomi D. Kuntz

February 3, 2022

Naomi D. Kuntz, who loved to be called "Grandma" by her 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, departed peacefully on February 3rd, 2022. She was 80 years old. Naomi was born in Allentown, PA, on August 21, 1941 to Norman and Pearl Scheetz and was sister to Elvin and William. Naomi attended William Allen High School and received her cosmetology teacher license. She later attended Lehigh Carbon Community College where she developed an interest in finance and economics. Naomi was mother to Timothy (and wife Alisyn), Stephanie and Pamela (and husband Jeffrey). She raised her 3 children with love and devotion in Allentown, PA with her husband of 58 years Donald R. Kuntz who preceded her in death. Aside from her 3 children, Naomi cherished her grandchildren, Tara, Katie, Ben, Jake, Julia and Evan and her great-grandchildren, Anabel, Lawrence, Grayson, Collette and Elisabeth. Her favorite thing to tell them was "I love you to the moon." Naomi also adored her 2 dogs Freddie and Coco. At the age of 16 Naomi opened her own beauty salon in the Hotel Traylor and along with her husband owned and managed several properties in center city Allentown. For many years, she attended Bethel Bible Fellowship Church in Emmaus. Her hobbies included playing tennis, cooking, baking, decorating, entertaining, flower and vegetable gardening, and traveling. Among her favorite destinations were New York City, Williamsburg, England, Italy and Bermuda. Naomi and Donald spent 20 years as "snowbirds" between Allentown and Long Boat Key, FL, before moving to Lakewood Ranch, FL, permanently in 2006. They returned to Pennsylvania in 2017 and resided at Wesley Enhanced Living Doylestown to be closer to family for support. Naomi has finally returned to her hometown of Allentown and will be close to her lifelong friends she loved so much as she is laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery. Services will be held privately and a celebration of life will follow in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to The Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, c/o Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown.
