Alma Mae Slough

Alma Mae Slough, 93, formerly of Allentown, PA, transitioned to heaven on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from her daughter’s home in Maine. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Slough. Born in Lehigh Co, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Wisser) Gardner. During her earlier years she worked at the local box factory and later at various retail locations including Leh’s and King's department stores. She was a member of the Wellspring Community Church of Allentown (formerly 12th Street Alliance), where she was a leader in youth and children's groups. She also sang in the choir. Surviving family members are sister Delores Saylor and brother Ronald; daughter Sandra Jean, wife of the late Mark Fandl of Catasauqua; and daughter Barbara Anne, wife of Rev. James Grumbine, Jr. of Lewiston, Maine; Alma has 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Paul Gardner, sister Emma Benedix, and daughter Bonnie Unger. Burial services at Woodlawn Memorial Park will be private.
