Frank Alotta, 87, of Allentown passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of the late Loretta (Rota) Alotta. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frank and Josephine (Lena) Alotta. He was a member of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Allentown. Before retiring, Frank worked for Western Electric, owned Frankie Alotta’s Café and lastly for Mack Trucks as an expeditor. He served in the Navy Reserves. Mostly, Frank will be remembered for his professional boxing career at Madison Square Garden, Philadelphia and the Allentown areas, which his athletic skills inducted him into the L.V. Hall of Fame for boxing and football.

Survivors, Sons James F. and his wife Tina, Michael A. and Frank Jr.; sisters Angeline and Nettie; grandchildren, Taylor, Shania, James Jr., Frank, and Nicholas.

Services 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 12 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. Calling begins at 9:30 AM.
