Faith P. Ingles, 89, of Walnutport, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton. She was a daughter of the late F. William and Ethel J. (Spath) Eyman. Born in Boston, Ma., Faith has lived all over the world. She grew up in Bogota, NJ, and attended Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, OH. She then went on to further her education at the University of Cincinnati for 4 years, graduating with her masters degree in music. After college, Faith went to Holme Eden Abbey, a convent in England. She then transferred to Abbey Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, CT. After four years of being in both convents she returned to Philadelphia where Faith taught at Raven Hill Academy. She then married James Ingles. They raised 3 sons together, Walter, Peter, and Christopher. While living in Palmerton, Faith owned "Ingles Music Studio" where she taught voice and piano. A few years later, Faith and Jim were divorced. She then decided she wanted to earn her doctorate degree and did so at Combs College of Music. She taught at United Wesleyan College, Allentown, PA and DeSales University, Center Valley, PA where she taught music history and theater. After United Wesleyan College closed, Faith continued to work at DeSales University along with Lafayette College, Easton, PA and Warren County Community College, New Jersey. During the summers, Faith worked as a crew member on the HMS Rose, also known as the HMS Surprise. She remembers it being very hard work, but fun at the same time. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Allentown.

Survivors: sons, Walter J. and wife, Patricia; Peter B; Christopher D; sister, Florence McColm; grandchildren, Eric R., Alison M., Stephen D., Ian J. and Brittany L. Four great- grandchildren. A grandson, William J. predeceased her in January.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 5, 2017 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church 1900 Pennsylvania Ave., Allentown. Calling from 10:30 to time of service.
